Steve Macdonald

Our head coach has been fascinated with the world of Strength and Conditioning since his time in the British Military.

He has been both a trainee and a trainer for over 20 years. He is a Certified Personal Trainer and has trained athletes both young and old.

He firmly believes that to get results is not through hard work alone, but through working Hard AND Smart.

‘Earn Your Rest’ and ‘Enjoyment’ are cornerstones of Total Fitness. 

Qualified as a Level 1 & 2 Canoe / Kayak Coach, trained for Mountain Leader [Summer], Advanced Wilderness First Aid and Extended Care he enjoys the outdoors to the fullest extent and can be found either on the rivers paddling or on the trails mountain biking. In the winter he is a keen snowboarder, and having a split board and recently undertaking his Avalanche Skills Training Level 1, he is keen to explore the backcountry in the winters to come.



Lorraine Alderson

Lorraine is the Heart and Soul of the organization. Lorraine is our Life Coach, who is there to help clients get their life on track, encourage and motivate them towards their own goals and objectives.

Qualified in NLP and as a successful business woman and mother, Lorraine can ensure that You achieve ‘Total Fitness’ throughout your life. 

Lorraine enjoys horse riding, paddling, taking the dog, Candy, for long walks, and during the winter can be found exploring the Cross Country Ski Trails at the back of the house [South Star Ski Trails] usually with Candy not far behind.
